Just shows the amount of work going on underground. Heavy metal laden soils, arsenic, lead,cadmium etc in high concentrations with a pH of almost 9 on old tailings of a historic lead mine. Hydroseeding 1Ha of slurry lagoon bunds, using low maintenance amenity seed with small leaved white clover at 500kg/Ha, Enviroblend mulch at 1000kg/Ha, triple NPK soluble fertiliser and tackifier. A cost effective approach to vegetating a difficult site, resulting in a low maintenance area that won’t leave the farm looking untidy with unsightly or noxious weed from poorly vegetated banks that would be difficult to cut. #hydroseedingpro #hydroseeding #specialistseeding

Working directly for the Environment Agency yesterday repairing flood protection embankments - spreading topsoil to build up levels, herbicide treatment (2 weeks beforehand) stripping vegetation and hydromulching using DLF’s MeadowMax seed mix, ProMatrix EFM @ 4500kg/Ha -to keep the soil in place on the ramps with the impending heavy rain.
